Pastors Cole and Anna are passionate about seeing everyone become who they were meant to be in Christ. We help everyone start their journey of becoming who God made them to be by following our Ways of Life.
We believe in a simple, more contemplative, and intentional way of life that leads to deep joy, genuine relationships, and freedom for the soul.
Ultimately, everything that we do is pointing us to Jesus, it is centering us in His way of life. We believe when we practice His ways and take on His yoke, we get His life.
In a world that is full of chaos, we believe the answer is a place where people meet Jesus and find rest in Him.

At our core, we hold the richness of the three streams of the Christian tradition—evangelical, sacramental, and pentecostal. We believe each brings a unique gift to the life of the church. the evangelical stream calls us to center our lives on the good news of Jesus and beauty of Scripture. the sacramental stream grounds us in the mystery and beauty of God’s presence in Word and Table. the pentecostal stream invites us to live fully open to the Spirit’s power, gifts, and renewing work.
Rather than choosing one at the expense of the others, we seek to weave them together in their best and most balanced form. This harmony shapes how we worship, how we live in community, and how we bear witness to Christ in the world. It’s part of our DNA: rooted in the gospel, nourished by grace, and enlivened by the Spirit.

Gather, Form, Encircle.
We gather each Sunday to worship the Trinity —Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is often where people first enter the life of our church, through our Ways of Life and rhythms-- we are drawn into the story of God and one another.
Formation is the ongoing work of being shaped into the image of Christ— and it happens together. Through community groups, ministry teams, youth nights, and spiritual formation cohorts, we grow in our understanding of who God is and who we are in Him. True spiritual formation isn’t isolated; it’s cultivated in the shared life of the church as we follow Jesus side-by-side.
To encircle is to join in the generous life of God — the self-giving love shared between Father, Son, and Spirit. We participate in that love by giving, serving, and making room at the table for others. This isn’t about gathering the same kind of people, but about drawing in the full diversity of Christ’s image-bearers. A healthy church doesn’t close the circle — it keeps expanding it. As we understand this vision, we begin to actionably invite/embrace others to/at The Table.

At Resting Place Church, we gather around our love for God and for others.
What we believe has been handed down to us by Christians who lived long ago. We believe what the church has believed from the beginning. The simplest summation of these beliefs can be found in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,

of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation

by the power of the Holy Spirit

and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Christianity, at it’s core, always requires community. Community Groups are an essential tool we use at RPC to ensure that our church stays connected, growing spiritually, and being cared for. There are a variety of groups that meet with varying frequencies, times, and days. We believe that everyone can find their place inside a community group.
